Being photographers in Charleston makes us kind of spoiled. The awesome backdrops we have by just walking around the historic downtown neighborhoods are countless. This wedding was particularly special because the bride Mary Lake grew up downtown with me (Elizabeth). We wandered these streets constantly whether on bikes, rollerblades, or bare feet. Again, spoiled.
On February 2nd this year, ML + Tyler tied the knot in our old stomping grounds. The gals got ready at a private carriage house down the street from St. Michael’s where the ceremony was held, while the boys got ready at ML + Tyler’s house. We wandered the charming streets South of Broad for their first look. After the ceremony, we all paraded with horn players down the street to Hibernian Hall. And a party was had to say the least!
October 18th, 2013. Mission :: Have the Best Day Ever with Tiffany + Chuck!
Mission accomplished! When you are hanging out with the kindest, funniest, most laid back people, there is no way not to have the best day ever! Even though we had only hung out with Tiffany + Chuck a couple times before, we felt like we had known them forever. And on that note, we would now like to take this opportunity to ask them to move their veterinary clinic here to Charleston, so we can hang out more. You know you want to :)
Shout out to Arielle of Party. Love.Birds for introducing us to these wonderful, amazing people. AND for being so hands on DIY with all the awesome glittery, sparkly, feathery, mammal-y decor! Oh, and as we mentioned before, Chuck is a veterinarian and they run their own clinic, hence the super fun animal detail.
And although we had a tiny bit a rain for a brief moment, Tiffany + Chuck were good sports, and just let us pull out some umbrellas from our fun umbrella collection. No need to let a little rain get us down!

This day last year was a spectacular day. Not only was it a beautiful September day, but we were spending it with the coolest cats in honor of their love. Surrounded by an intimate gathering of their family and friends, it couldn't have been a more perfect celebration. We feel so fortunate that Shelby + Chris chose our beloved Charleston for their nuptials and chose us to capture it all. We raise a glass to you guys on the big 1 year and all the more to come!
